Although we were somewhat familiar with the outskirts of both Tucson and Phoenix from past visits to Arizona, we still needed a lot of guidance and expertise when it came to the real estate market. Enter Hope Alday. We met Hope at an open house and were immediately impressed with her ease of manner, friendliness and sincerity. After talking with her for some time we knew we had our Arizona real estate agent and heartily agreed then and there to sign the papers for that exclusive right. What struck us about Hope was that she was not pushy or overbearing when it came to showing us a house. We never felt pressured into making our minds up quickly (unless imposed by the seller), but she gave us the latitude to consider our options. In addition, if we had a question regarding a particular home, Hope would always try to get us the answer in a timely manner if she didn’t know it right then, and most often than not on the same day. We purchased from out-of-state and so having an agent that we could trust was absolutely necessary. One, I have so many positive things to say about Hope that it was hard to figure out where to begin. Two, I am still in shock of the home I'm living in and grasping that I am a home owner. My partner and I met Hope at an open house. We knew NOTHING about the home buying process. We had been looking at homes for a couple of weeks when we learned we needed pre-approval first. We got pre-approved and that was about all we knew.We had met with many realtors at open houses but Hope was the first one who spoke warmly and engagingly with us. The other realtors just unlocked the doors and waited quietly in a corner. Hope has great intuition and people skills. She knew right away that we were clueless. Even though she wasn't our realtor at the time she took a moment to explain to us the home buying process and answer tons of questions. We learned much more from 10 minutes of speaking with her than from the many realtors we'd met at open houses. Hope gave us her number and told us to call if we had more questions.After leaving my partner, Jasper, and I felt invigorated and hopeful. Finally someone looked at us and wanted to inform us instead of judging us by our appearance and assuming we weren't able to buy a home. Within ten minutes we called Hope and asked her to pleeeeaassee be our realtor. We met with her later that evening and she told us " I will work hard for you. I will make sure you get a home." Hope was born and raised in Tucson and has been in real estate for a long time. She loves Tucson and has a wealth of information about the area. She also knows a lot of other people in real estate.That night Hope set up an account for us on Flex MLS so we could look at homes, it was a Thursday. On Tuesday we went and looked at houses. We walked into the third house and fell in love. The house was only accepting offers until 10 the next morning. The house had seventeen offers but because of Hope's experience, skills and connections we were able to put in a winning offer. Two days later we found out our offer had been accepted. Hope set us up with all the best and most attentive title and loan originators. Within four weeks we were getting the keys to our home.Hope is exciting to work with. Readily available for questions. Extremely knowledgeable and connected. She's great with all sorts of people. And she brings snacks and cold water We met her on a Thursday night and by the next Thursday morning, we had our home. I know things don't always work like this but I do believe Hope is some realtor super powers.I am in love with my home and proud to say, "Hope is my realtor!"
